Today we announce the winners of one of the largest, free art challenges ever to be held on the Internet - the First Annual Autumn Arts Challenge and Contest. The global event has ignited the interest of artists, galleries, and collectors. Hundreds of new original works were created during the month of October 2009 specifically for the Autumn Arts Challenge.
Every painting here celebrates the true spirit of art - a unique vision from an individual artist who had the courage to join us for our first free, global art challenge.
Nationally acclaimed judges Soon Y Warren, Gladys de Moran, and Marsha Savage kindly volunteered an immense amount of time to view almost 1000 images and select the best. The three administrators, Sandy Askey-Adams, Jean Levert-Hood, and Nancy Medina, were humbled, honored, and, quite frankly, a bit taken aback at the response to this event.
Congratulations to the winners. And thank you to everyone who joined us, everyone who entered a painting, and a sincere thanks to the amazing judges who worked together so graciously every step of the way. We hope you will join us for the next challenge.

If We Build It, Will They Come? Give Us Your Feedback!
Welcome to a new blog for the First Annual Autumn Arts Painting Challenge. What began as a conversation about an art workshop between three artist friends has grown into one of the largest art contests on the Web. And why not? What better challenge than one that is free, global, and open to any artist who has the desire to create?
Sandy Askey-Adams, Jean Levert Hood, and Nancy Medina launched the first Art Challenge on October 1, 2009. The group attracted over over 1000 members who have submitted over 900 pieces of original artwork during the 30-day contest period.
This new blog is where we will announce the winners of the First Annual Autumn Arts Challenge and Competition. We will also tell you more about the prizes, gallery shows, and future Challenges so be sure to select the "Follow" button on the right side of this page to stay tuned.
Our deepest thanks to the hundreds of artists who created NEW works during the Challenge period for our first event. The nationally acclaimed judges, Gladys Roldan-de-Moras, Soon Y Warren, and Marsha Savage are reviewing those works right now and the top selections will be posted shortly. The judges and administrators have received no payment for their work on this event, and all prizes have been donated.
Please give us your feedback in the comments on this blog. We hope you have enjoyed this free contest as much as we have and will join us for the next challenge. Stay tuned for details to come!
